CCD project - 2002 February 7

Gareth Lloyd joined me at Savage. Not a cloud in the sky all night, great transparency, but it was breezy enough to ruin about half of the 1-minute images we took. Still, we got a few good images, mostly old favorites, and after stacking the best ones, what we got is below.

Flame Flame Nebula. 8 stacked 60 second exposures taken 2002 February 7 from Savage.
M65 M65. 6 stacked 60 second exposures taken 2002 February 7 from Savage.
M66 M66. 9 stacked 60 second exposures taken 2002 February 7 from Savage.
M74 and supernova M74, with supernova (middle of 3 stars in the horizontal row at upper left). 7 stacked 60 second exposures, about half of them through tree branches, taken 2002 February 7 from Savage.
M105 group M105 galaxy group. M105 is at left. 6 stacked 60 second exposures taken 2002 February 7 from Savage.
NGC 2976 NGC 2976, galaxy near M81 and M82. 4 stacked 60 second exposures taken 2002 February 7 from Savage.
NGC 3628 NGC 3628. 6 stacked 60 second exposures taken 2002 February 7 from Savage.
M95 M95. 4 stacked 60 second exposures taken 2002 February 7 from Savage.
M96 M96. 5 stacked 60 second exposures taken 2002 February 7 from Savage.
Owl Nebula M97, the Owl Nebula. 16 stacked 60 second exposures taken 2002 February 7 from Savage.
