Telescope Setup for Astronomy on the National Mall

Anyone with a telescope is welcome to bring it to this event.
Information for Volunteers Bringing Telescopes: Volunteers may set up their equipment on Saturday, September 26, between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.
Both Jefferson Drive SW and Madison Drive NW can be accessed from 7th Street NW. Two equipment drop-off areas are located nearby, and limited street parking may be available along both drives. If your equipment is easy to transport, consider taking Metro to L’Enfant Plaza. Otherwise, consider arranging for someone to drop you off with your equipment and return to pick you up after the event.
The permit allows the event to use the area until 11 pm, when all equipment must be removed. Feel free to stay after the event ends if you wish to do more observing and interacting with the attendees.
