We have a general meeting this coming Sunday, May 5. We’re meeting a week earlier than usual so that we don’t cause a conflict with anyone’s plans for Mother’s Day. We will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 13 on the GMU campus. As we’ve done for the last several months, we’ll gather in Research Hall, Room 163; this is the large meeting room on the ground floor of the building next to the observatory tower.

Our guest speaker is Dr. Madhulika “Lika” Guhathakurta. She’s a solar physicist, program scientist for the STEREO mission, and lead scientist of NASA’s “Living with a Star” program. She’ll be speaking about space weather and solar storms.
