Astronomy Day Event May 11th 3-11pm @ Sky Meadows

The whole family will enjoy this free event! Activities include: safe views of the sun, fun games for kids, a guided tour of the night sky and spectacular views of the universe through club member’s telescopes.

Special presentations in our big tent – Rain or Shine – “Just Do It! Getting Started in Astrophotography” by Bob Traube, “The Real Alien Visitors to Earth: Meteors, Meteorites, Asteroids, and Comets in the Neighborhood ” by Alan Goldberg, and a Special Presentation by Dr. Timothy Livengood, UMD/GSFC “The ABC’s of Comets”
