George Mason University, Arlington Campus Night Sky Viewing
  • Date(s):  Saturday, April 9; 8pm to 9:30pm
  • Location:  Arlington, VA- Outdoor plaza in front of Van Metre Hall, Schar School of Policy and Government (3351 Fairfax Dr.)
  • Audience:  Members of the public.
  • Volunteer Role:  
    • Share telescope views of the First Quarter Moon and other bright objects under urban skies.
    • Volunteers can park right in front of the plaza on Fairfax Dr. Alternatively, volunteers may also drop off equipment at the plaza (staff will be on-hand to help unload and watch equipment) and park in the Van Metre Hall parking garage. Garage parking will be validated for volunteers.
  • Special Notes:  
    • Although this event is hosted by GMU- Arlington, the organizers will be inviting members of the public to stop by.
  • Pandemic Precautions:   
    • This is an outdoor event so masks are optional.
