Glengary Xmas Tree farm is located approx 12 miles SW of Warrenton, in a rural part of Culpepper county. The way to get there for most of us is to take Rt. 29 south from I-66 to Warrenton, then the Rt. 211/17 commercial strip around the west side of Warrenton, and then Rt 211 West. The directions and distance to the farm given on the website listed below are accurate with one big exception – you turn LEFT onto Rt 642 from Rt 211 just before Amissville. There is a small store on the SW corner of the intersection on Rt. 211. The only tricky part was the turnoff to Rt 626 – Waterford Rd. The Rt # sign was not visible from the direction I was driving but the street name of Waterford was – LOOK for the Waterford road turnoff. From there it was not difficult to find the entrance to the farm.

The key thing about the site is that it is only about 7-8 miles total further than Crockett from I-66. If you could handle a drive to Crockett, Glengary farm is maybe another 10 mins further driving time for most of us. Not that bad a drive. The route also takes us thru the commercial strip in Warrenton which makes for a convenient stop to get dinner on the way or make a pitstop.

Additional notes:

First time users of Glengary are requested to arrive before dusk.
Do not disturb residents (there are 3 residences on property).
Park sensibly (do not block driveways).
Don’t drive over trees!  Some are only inches high.
Don’t leave behind trash.
Porto Potty’s near retail sales building during Christmas season.

After turning into entrance from Rt. 626, gravel drive divides (bear right)  gray farmhouse on left.
Do not take narrow, unused drive that runs between grey farmhouse and fence.
At yellow house with carport make sharp left (driving past Christmas tree sales area) .
Driveway also continues straight past yellow house but this goes straight downhill toward the Hazel River.
Continue through driveway curves, past wire fence, through trees, driveway narrows and widens again.
Driveway goes through tree planting area and another house site (log cabin).
Driveway continues past log cabin and you may continue on driveway to park where you choose.
Driveway splits again with one path going left and the main driveway continuing down the hill toward the Hazel River.
Parallel parking along driveway will work best.
